Are you a hungry visitor in the Serbian capital?
All you have to do is grab this app right now, enable data network and activate GPS traffic.
Belgrade Food will allow you to search for a certain range of food shops and restaurants closest to your proximity, based on your current location. It displays open hours and a list of specials that each food shop has on certain meals at the time of the search.
You can choose among restaurants, BBQs, bakeries and pizzerias.
Location sharing should be allowed after you start the application. You will be taken directly to your current location on a map. When you submit a request to find out the location of the closest food, within the area specified, the app will retrieve the data listing of all those food shops within that designated search area, which will then be displayed on the user’s device using Google Maps.
Some devices will not recognize GPS satellites if you are in some closed space or building at that moment.
Select a proximity range for searching, based on how far you are prepared to go from your current location. Maximum radius is 5 km.
Once a search is initiated, the map location of the shops is displayed with letter markers starting from „A“. The route to nearest location is displayed on the map and highlighted with red line. If you tap on the second search result on the list, the new route is calculated in real time and highlighted as a red route on the display map. Zooming in and out is a common functionality of Google Maps and can be performed in Belgrade Food application as well.
If you want to see more info about a particular shop, the “Info” button will help you find more details and specials from that food place. There is a possibility to call a desired food shop with just one tap of a button with the phone number. You can save favorite food shops to your device for the purpose of seeing which products are on sale that week, or to know exactly when that shop is open.
Any late night food shops or those open on holidays could be displayed after search.
Note:
Option of DELIVERY is also designed to be functional but in this moment owners of food spots did not clarify that info as well as precise working hours. They should be available in the next version or update.
